Ingredients:
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/2 cup cashews
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- Salt and pepper to taste
- For the sauce:
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
Instructions:
- In a small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Set aside.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and chicken broth. Set aside.
- In a large skillet or wok, heat up the vegetable oil over high heat.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until they start to turn pink.
